Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the structure of the program?
We’ve intentionally designed a hybrid program that can be accessible and available for mothers throughout their maternity leave which includes 8 self-directed online modules, weekly live group coaching calls, guest expert speakers, and a private online community to connect and support you throughout the transitions of maternity leave.
Can I access recordings if I can’t attend the live calls?
Yes, absolutely. We recognize the live calls may not always suit your schedule so we commit to sending you a copy of the guest expert live call recordings within 24 hours, which you can listen to or watch at your convenience.
I’m pregnant now, is it too soon to join?
We recommend starting Maturn as soon as you find out you’re expecting a baby, whether you are a birthing or a non-birthing mother. There are many considerations to prepare for when you’re expecting a baby and that is why Module 1 focuses on preparing you for maternity leave.
I have already started my maternity leave. Is it too late for me to join?
In order to reap the full benefits of Maturn, we recommend joining no later than 16 weeks postpartum. You can still join past this point and have access to the entire program but Module 1 where the focus is on preparing for maternity leave and Module 2 which is focused on the fourth trimester, may no longer be relevant to you. However, if you plan on having another baby at some point, you do receive lifetime access. So it’s up to you!
I’m planning on taking an 18-month leave, how does that work?
If you are taking an 18-month leave, you will just have a longer timeframe to go through each module. You will have access to the live group coaching calls for the entirety of your leave.
I am not taking a year for maternity leave, could I do this program in a shorter time frame?
Yes. The content of the Maturn program is totally relevant regardless of how long you take for your leave.
Am I going to have time to do this program on maternity leave?
We have intentionally designed a program that is absolutely doable on maternity leave. One module takes about 3-4 hours to complete and the pace would be about one module every two months which gives you lots of time. Maturn is going to support you in a deep and meaningful way with the kind of support that we wished we had on maternity leave.
I adopted a child, is Maturn for me?
Maturn has been designed to ensure the program content and outcomes are relevant to ALL mothers.
Are queer mothers and same-sex partnerships represented in Maturn?
In addition to heterosexual guest experts, we also feature perspectives of queer mothers and motherhood. We also use inclusive language as a part of Maturn and refer to “partners”.
Do you have a professional development letter I can give to my employer to make a case for support for me to take this program?
Yes, please contact us at info@maturn.com to receive this or book a call with us here so we can help prep you for that conversation.
Would you be able to come and present this opportunity to my organization? I know there are lots of women who would benefit from it.
We would be more than happy to connect with your organization. Send us an email to info@maturn.com and let us know what organization you work for, approx. how many employees and we will be in touch about next steps. We appreciate you championing Maturn with your organization.
What’s the investment?
The investment is $3,000 CAD which covers you from the time you announce you are expecting a child, up until your transition back to work. As a Maturn member, you receive lifetime access to the program, meaning you can take it again on subsequent leaves or join calls even when you’ve returned to work.
Can I pay monthly?
Payment plans are available upon request.
